Hydrogen Sulfide Level
The air quality in Chalmette is very poor today according to the Louisiana DEQ air monitor at Blue Bird Park in Chalmette Vista. The hydrogen sulfide level around 7am was rising and measured 15 ppb H2S, with Sulfur Dioxide levels over the health standard at nearly 83 ppb SO2. This is around the time elementary and middle school students are outside waiting for the school buses.
Air Quality; it's something we can't live without.
