overgrown grass ordinance

St Bernard Parish Council tabled introduction of a grass cutting ordinance until next Council Meeting to give the councilman more time to make changes.  around the one hour 30 minute mark.

The proposed ordinance would change the minimum parameter of grass cutting required from 150 feet to a mere 20 feet from public right of way or buildings.

As nearby Lower 9th ward residents push the City of New Orleans to do more about the problems with overgrown lots, St Bernard Parish residents are dumbfounded as to why the Council would require less and expect anything different.

Originally placed on the early November Agenda, Summary # 3005 Chapter 11 Required Grass Cutting is expected to be re-introduced in the Tuesday November 19th 3pm Council Meeting.
